Sweet Cart v Pastry Cart?!

Sweet Carts have become one of the biggest wedding trends in recent years and rightly so! They’re such a great way of appealing to both adults and children alike, keeping all guests occupied and certainly entertained with the many sweets at their disposal.
However, although Ronan and I both have incredibly sweet teeth, neither of us are fans of the typical sweet. We’re more chocolate people, banoffee pie, strawberries and crepes, brownies and cookies kinda people, so we wanted to come up with something that was a little different, and a better reflection of us as a couple.

We asked our cake maker if he could also supply a pastry cart, and he said yes! He already owned a cart and had never been asked to provide pastries on it, so I suppose it was new and exciting for the both of us. On that note, it doesn’t even have to be a sweet or pastry cart; it can literally be anything you want! Just a variety of chocolate, pretzels, brownies, you name it! Or maybe even a savoury cart if you don't have a sweet tooth. But, there’s not a lot of suppliers out there who might be doing this, so you will have to ask if this is something they can do especially for you in a bespoke package.

We were extremely lucky to have our cake and cart supplied by the same company. Check out the website for our cake maker, Surantha Patisserie, based in Stourbridge: www.suranthapatisserie.co.uk, or follow the Facebook page ‘Surantha Patisserie’. His mouth-watering treats match the presentation and design suited to any occasion, at the most reasonable price. It’s definitely worth branching out from your local area, and researching into suppliers from all over the country – it might work out cheaper for you even with the delivery included! It definitely did for us!
